I found out about the Community College from the paper. My Mum helped me to contact the College and I enrolled on the Sport course. I don’t like crowds and there aren’t too many people here. I’ve enjoyed the adventure based learning, it’s been really good fun; coast steering at Taylors Mistake was the best. The people are great at the College and we are like a family, I’ve become more mature and act more like an adult. I’m not as stressed as I used to be.
My home is in Scargill so during the year I’ve boarded with local families. I’ve also got my restricted drivers licence this year and I’ve now got a job at Pak ‘n Save in Rangiora.
I am graduating with a National Certificate in Sport & Recreation and NCEA Level 2.
My plans are to go to ACG Yoobee School of Design in Christchurch and study towards a Diploma in Game Art, and my goal is to work as a web programmer for PlayStation games.
