Standards
The College promotes appropriate workplace standards and behaviours that are connected to the College Values.
|
Standards and Behaviour College standards are explained to students at induction and displayed in training rooms and common areas. You're expected to be responsible for your own behaviour and to act responsibly. College buildings, vehicles and grounds are smoke-free.
Attendance Attending training each day, being on time and staying for the full day is expected. If you're going to be late or unable to attend, it's your responsibility to ring the College by normal start time. If you're on Work Based Training you'll need to contact your workplace and Coordinator. If you're absent due to sickness for more than two days, the Manager may ask you for a medical certificate.
Personal Presentation Your presentation and dress should be of a high standard to reflect your commitment to the course.
Respect and Courtesy for People and Property Treat others, including students, college staff and employers with respect and courtesy. The use of offensive language is not acceptable. Please also respect the buildings and grounds provided for your benefit as others also wish to use and enjoy them.
Discrimination and Harassment Everyone has the right to train with us without fear or concern of harassment or discrimination. Discrimination against another person is unlawful (Human Rights Act 1993) and will not be tolerated or condoned by Community Colleges New Zealand.
Disciplinary Procedures The College will act fairly in all disciplinary dealings with you. Students are encouraged to have a support person in attendance at any disciplinary interview. Please contact the College Manager if you'd like more information on any of the above matters.
