Excelerate programme fast-tracks students’ success
The Excelerate programme offered by Community College North Canterbury is giving 16 and 17 year old students a kick-start towards reaching their career or further education goals.
Tutor Sara Harwood says that the 36 week broad-based programme is designed to provide students with some “great workplace skills”, vocational experiences and adventure-based learning. Read more

New facilities at National Equestrian Academy
A recent upgrade of its facilities has allowed the National Equestrian Academy at Community College North Canterbury to increase its student intake to 15 for its 2011 course.
A new 30x60m all-weather arena and a new lunging pen have been installed. Construction is due to begin shortly on new stabling.
In addition, the Academy’s rug room has been extended and had a “complete makeover”, along with the horse yards, feed room and students’ classroom. Read more
