Business Administration & Computing


Starting with an introduction to personal computers and general office and clerical systems, this programme offers a broad base of business administration and computing skills.  

It is ideal for people wishing to upgrade their skills or to learn the fundamentals of general office practice in any modern, computerised office.

There are three National Certificates associated with our
 Business Administration & Computing programmes:
  • National Certificate in Business Administration & Computing - Level 2
  • National Certificate in Computing - Level 2
  • National Certificate in Computing - Level 3
These National Certificates are well recognized within the industry and provide a sound basis for people interested in a career in computing.

Our Business and Computing programmes are mostly full time courses.

Mon – Fri  9:00am – 4:00pm.
Some campuses do have a part time training option.
All campuses are flexible, and endeavour to adapt to your needs regarding children and other commitments.


Topics Include:
  • Business Administration, including processing financial information, accounts receivable and payable ledger systems, business procedures and documentation of business transactions
  • Office practice, giving you the opportunity to operate clerical systems, provide reception services and take minutes
  • Computing, which involves basic training in data entry through to operating accounting systems on the computer.  Options may include spreadsheets, databases and desktop published documents
  • Customer service skills, such as dealing with customer enquiries, calculations, cultural and community awareness
  • Personal development to further enhance your skills for the workplace.  You’ll be able to develop essential attributes such as personal presentation, time management, team work, dealing with stress and communicating in a working environment
  • And finally, you’ll complete some active preparation to gain employment.  We’ll help you as much as we can by placing you out in the industry for practical work experience, helping with your CV, planning for your career, and assisting with job search, job applications and interviews.
