FREE for 16 - 24 yrs*  (* entry criteria applies)

​A 20 week programme with the opportunity to gain a New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills (Level 2) Qualification and 60 credits towards NCEA Level 1 and 2.

This programme is to provide those with little or no hospitality (cookery/front of house) experience with knowledge and skills that will support future opportunities to undertake further study at a higher level, or work, under supervision, across different hospitality career pathways.  

Learn  to - 

• Apply health and safety in the workplace.
• Work as part of a team. 
• Prepare and cook food using different methods. 
• Use commercial espresso coffee equipment
• Provide customer service and maintain personal presentation and a positive attitude in a hospitality environment. 
• Gain valuable life skills - learn how to improve your own learning, literacy and numeracy skills, manage stress, manage time, and problem solve.
• Plan for an exciting new future.​​ ​
