Community Colleges New Zealand (Comcol) is at the heart of the community. A 12 week strengths based program for 15 - 24 year old's focusing on Goals, Resilience, Opportunity and Wellbeing. Set in both indoor and outdoor practical learning environments GROW provides each person the guidance, practical support and encouragement to strengthen their identity and plan a future pathway.
A GROW mentor works alongside our rangatahi providing pastoral care post program to ensure a positive outcome. Exploring further training, education or employment opportunities.
Our mahi, along with important wider community support, seeks to remove any barriers to success and create a better future for each and every young person we have the privilege of working alongside.
We aim to provide an environment that creates opportunities for success in education, employment, well-being and sustainability.

We value our kaimahi and the wide range of skills and experience they have. We want to hear from you if you are:
- enthusiastic, organised, and enjoy working to support rangatahi/young people to achieve
- able to develop strong relationships with local employers and education providers
- confident to knock on doors and look for opportunities for our rangatahi
- able to deliver training around job search, interview skills and other skills relating to gaining and maintaining employment
- able to build relationships and form networks within the community
Ngà pùmanawatanga òu | What you will bring
- An understanding and interest in supporting young people to achieve
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- A mentoring and support approach within a team environment
- Competent computer skills
- A full driver’s licence
