This privacy notice lets you know how Comcol will protect and manage all personal information we hold. This is a general notice that covers the privacy practices across Comcol, including at our premises and on our website. It has been prepared in accordance with our obligations and your rights set out in the Privacy Act 2020.

Personal information is any information that identifies a person. At Comcol, personal information we collect includes (without limitation):

You don’t have to provide any personal information to us but if you don’t, we may not be able to determine whether you’re eligible for our services.
Occasionally, we need to collect information about you from third parties such as the Ministry of Education because it is not practical to collect this information directly from you.
Sharing your personal information
Comcol is contracted by the Ministry of Social Development to deliver Youth Service.
This requires us to share your personal information with the Ministry of Social Development. Your personal information will be shared with other organisations as part of the Youth Service contract, including but not limited to driver training providers, parenting education providers and education providers.
At all other times, we’ll only disclose your personal information if you allow us, or if we are required to by law.
Looking after your personal information
We take all reasonable precautions to protect personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Accessing your personal information
You have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think that it is wrong. If you would like to request your information or seek corrections, please contact your Youth Coach or Tutor.

We collect information about all visits to our websites, including the:
Our systems remove any information that might identify you and send the rest to Google Analytics [IF APPROPRIATE]. We then use Google Analytics to get information like:
· how many people are on our website
· what page was visited most in a given time period
· the location people are connecting from
· what types of devices are being used

The aggregate data from cookies is collected and stored on our internal servers, and only accessed by authorised staff. Cookies help us provide additional functionality to you and help us analyse site usage more accurately.

Youth Service Complaints
If you have a complaint about the service you have received:
You can contact Youth Service at Work and Income if you feel we have not resolved your complaint through our internal process. Phone 0800 559 009 and say “youth client” when you call.

Personal information

- Demographic information (e.g. gender, ethnicity)

- If still not resolved, submit a formal complaint in writing.
