Many of our taiohi are young parents and the role involves providing support with parenting, housing, budgeting and working towards long term independence.

Why join us?

From its inception, Comcol has always been a ‘people first’ organisation, with a clear focus on improving the lives of young rangatahi. All staff go above and beyond to help young people work on their personal and social development. We focus on:
  • Self-directed leadership - Staff play to each other's strengths, support, and learn from one another. Innovative and solution-based approaches are encouraged.
  • People First Culture - Comcol is extremely values-based and people-centered. Our integrity to help our rangatahi is unquestionable. Our young people are at the centre of everything we strive to achieve and celebrating our rangatahi's success is hugely rewarding.
  • Strong Pathway & Development Support - We value staff learning new skills and understanding to meet the needs of our rangatahi. Providing opportunities for professional development and connecting with other community youth-focused organisations are fully supported.
  • Supportive Leadership Environment - We encourage and support our staff to be the best they can be every day. Staff are treated as individuals rather than in a one size fits all approach.
